Atlanta Squirrel and Rat Removal, LLC. is a wildlife removal, trapping, and exclusion company specializing in squirrel and rat services in the Atlanta Metro Area. We take pride in doing thorough inspections so that we can offer the customer a clear explanation of the problem, identify the problem animal, identify the possible points of entry, and give expert consultation on how to solve the problem. We offer a warranty on all exclusion work that we perform and will stand behind all of the services we provide with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We will give you realistic expectations of all work that we will be doing whether it's a full exclusion job or a monthly trapping service. We believe in doing business the right way. About the Owner
The owner and creator of Atlanta Squirrel and Rat Removal, LLC is Chris Portra. Growing up in rural Eastern Montana, Chris started hunting, trapping, and fishing at a young age. At age 7 he began trapping gophers and prairie dogs for the local ranchers and city parks earning $1 dollar for each one snared. He grew up on the Missouri River bottom and was always busy fishing and hunting through his childhood.
Undecided on what to do after one year of college, Chris joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. He spent 3 years there not including one six month period he was deployed to Egypt.
After Alaska, Chris decided it was time for a change and relocated to Atlanta. He joined the Elevator Constructors Union and began renovating elevators in the Atlanta Metro area. After his layoff following 9/11, Chris started working for a small pest control company based in Dunwoody. He performed all of the company's wildlife control services.
After five good years with his former employer, Chris decided to start his own business. 100% of his business has been referral based from his previous employer - something that makes him very proud! His old fashioned values and strong work ethic go a long way in Atlanta!
